We are looking to Bruins to add their unique contribution to the UCLA story.

Have a memory to share? A rare photograph or two you would like to see find a good home? A yearbook you are finally ready to part with?

Many different kinds of contributions will be helpful for this project. Please take into consideration, however, that we cannot guarantee the return of any items. We are requesting that individuals fill out a Deed of Gift form and include it at the time of donation.

How you can help ...
Here are a few things we are especially seeking:

  • Yearbooks (Notably those from the 1920s, 1930s and 1958, 1960, 1963, 1971, 1973, 1983, 1986, 1994 and 1995)
  • Frosh Bibles and other student handbooks
  • Issues of U.C.L.A. Monthly
  • Photographs (include details of events, persons or places pictured)
  • Press clippings about UCLA student life, historical events, scientific breakthroughs, or other news from the Los Angeles Times, Herald Examiner or Los Angeles Express
  • Sports and sporting event memorabilia
  • Programs from university-sponsored lecture series, UCLA Medal ceremonies and other events featuring influential individuals
  • Videotapes (include a brief description of footage)
  • Audio recordings of historical moments/campus events
  • Humorous or poignant anecdotes (include contact and other relevant information for fact checking purposes when possible)

Note ... Here are a few things, however, that we ask that you please do not send because in most cases we already have these items:

  • Daily Bruin or other student press newspapers
  • UCLA Today newspapers
  • UCLA Magazine issues
  • UCLAlumni or AlumNews issues
  • Programs from UCLA Performing Arts events

Thank you for helping to preserve UCLA’s legacy!
